Hour 1:
Atkins Vindicated
Two new studies report that people not only lose weight on the much-maligned, high-protein, low carb Atkins Diet, but may also lower their cholesterol and blood pressure. Dennis has been touting this approach for over five years. The “fat makes you fat” mantra of the AMA and government health agencies turns out to be so much baloney.

Hour 2:
Affirmative Re-Action
Was Jayson Blair, the disgraced NYT reporter, given so many “passes” by his superiors because he was black? Times columnist Bob Herbert angrily answers no and that to think so is racist. But Howell Raines, editor of the Times, admits in a news pieces in his own paper that he believes the answer is yes – Blair was given special treatment. The whole affair underscores the cancerous, counterproductive policy of Affirmative Action which hurts blacks by calling into question their achievements.

Hour 3:
The More You Make, the More We Take
In Norway traffic fines are based on a percentage of your income. A prosperous businessman there just received a $30K ticket for being slightly over the alcohol limit for driving. That’s socialism. The more you make, the more we take… 600 Palestinians riot against Hamas. They’re fed up with the terrorist group bringing the Israeli down on their heads. If Palestinians would do this a hundred times over, there would be peace… Also, Bio-tech crops could feed millions of starving Africans, but the EU is doing everything to persuade Africans not to use them.
