Hour 1:
Police and Excessive Force
A jury in Inglewood, California couldn’t decide whether a policeman was guilty or innocent of using excessive force against a teenager he arrested. The case has attracted a lot of national attention for one reason: the cop is white and the teenager is black. But Dennis isolates the bigger issue: are we using excessive force – the threat of legal prosecution – against the police? More and more, we demand perfection from cops. It’s an unrealistic demand and a dangerous one.

Hour 2:
Laughing at the “Rat Race”
Guest: Writer, director and producer, Jerry Zucker. The co-creator of the comedy masterpiece, “Airplane” has created another one, “Rat Race.” But whereas the former film has been celebrated as one of the best comedies of all-time, the latter has largely been ignored. Dennis (who laughs just thinking about “Rat Race”) and the director discuss why.

Hour 3:
“No” Means Rape
The Illinois legislature has passed a law which declares that if a woman says “no” during any point during “sexual penetration” and the man doesn’t come to an instant stop, he can be prosecuted as a rapist. The law would be funny, if it weren’t so destructive. Ironically, feminism which was supposed to empower women is turning them into hot house flowers who must be protected from anything they don’t like.
