Hour 1:
Weekend in Review
In the Guardian, the leftist English paper, a writer describes America as “a religion.” The writer intends it as a criticism, but Dennis sees it as a compliment. America has a divine mission to rid the world of evil-doers. If we were to abandon this mission, we’d become another Europe – Godless, gutless and spineless.

Hour 2:
Mel Gibson’s “Passion”
Dennis talks about his experience of seeing a rough cut of Mel Gibson’s yet-to-be-released movie about the last 12 hours of the life of Jesus Christ. The depiction of Christ’s suffering – scourging and crucifixion -- is very graphic and the Jews are the villains of the story. Will the film provide fodder for anti-Semites? This was not Gibson’s intention, certainly – the movie is true to the New Testament text – but it may be an unintended consequence.

Hour 3:
More “Passion”
Dennis expounds further on his reaction to the film and explains the basis of Jewish fears of Christian anti-Semitism. Listeners offer their thoughts and opinions.
