San Diego decides to rename "Christmas on the Prado," what it has been
called for 24 years, "Balboa Park December Nights." Why? Because "San Diego
is culturally diverse." How foolish. Most of us who do not celebrate
Christmas want America to keep celebrating it. It is, after all, celebrated
by about 90% of Americans. Let us honor that fact and honor the uniquely
positive role that Christianity has played and plays in American life.
