Weekend in Review
John Kerry uses the F-word in an interview with Rolling Stone. He wants to appear hip, but all he does is denigrate himself and the office he wants to hold... Palestinians don't want to stop killing Israelis. They can't reach a truce between themselves... The President's arguments to justify the war have evolved since we began our campaign. This makes perfect sense. The more we know of Saddam's evil, the more we see the need to wage this war.
Tilting at Wind Turbines
Environmentalists are complaining about a wind farm in Northern California. They claim that the turbines are killing too many birds. Other environmentalists say, "who gives a hoot about the birds, we need the clean energy." It's amusing to see these "fundamentalists" slug it out over who is more environmentally pure... Also, are we living through a bird catastrophe? In the same LA Times article, a study is cited that claims that 60 million birds are killed each year by collisions with cars. Another example of an absurd "study" taken as gospel.
John Kerry, who is probably rabidly anti-secondhand smoke, doesn't care if he pollutes the language. In an interview with Rolling Stone, he uses the F-word to criticize President Bush's policies in Iraq.
