The Indignity of Hospital Garb
Clothing says something about our state of mind. The hospital gown announces "I'm sick." It's humiliating and lacks dignity. How is that supposed to help you get better? Unless there's a compelling medical reason why a patient has to wear the gown, why not let patients wear something that will build up their dignity – their own pajamas, for instance – and not tear it down? A Best of Prager Hour. Originally broadcast September 30, 2003.
The Happiness Hour: Do You Want to Be Happy?
Many people, more than Dennis realized, don't want to be happy. They revel in their misery. But those around them pay the price. A Best of Prager Hour. Originally broadcast October 31, 2003.
