The Left is Naïve about Evil
The "Ethicist"of the Sunday New York Times Magazine tells a letter writer that police who don't follow strict procedures are more dangerous than criminals. This is the classic liberal position – fear the police. The result is that we have an emasculated police force more concerned with protecting themselves from lawsuits (and who can blame them), than protecting society from evil-doers.
